Nicole and Dan’s was the ultimate sophisticated winter wedding at the Hotel Monaco with the hint of warmth and bling that make December occasions so festive. Nicole’s bouquet was designed using wintry white peonies, roses, ranunculus and anemone accented with silver brunea pods, dusty miller foliage, and hints of evergreen fir as a nod to the season. Dan’s boutonniere complemented Nicole’s bouquet, with roses, silver brunea pods, dusty miller and noble fir creating a textured and elegant boutonniere. The bridesmaids carried white roses, ranunculus and lisianthus bouquets, each finished with navy satin ribbon to match their dresses.
The ceremony took place at gorgeous St. Peter’s Church on Capitol Hill. Lush altar designs were seated in the alabaster urns at the site, each featuring white hydrangea, gladiola, stock, snapdragons, and roses accented with dusty miller and evergreen fir.
A sophisticated winter wedding feel at the Hotel Monaco greeted guests as they arrived at the reception. A composite design of three glass cylinder vases filled with festive gold balls provided a warm welcome. Each vase was topped with a monochromatic design of white flowers – one with ivory roses, another with white dendrobium orchids, and the final vase white hydrangea, a “deconstructed” hint of what was to come inside. The ballroom featured a mix of two modern and elegant designs. Tall glass trumpet vases were topped with lush design of white hydrangea accented with a spray of white dendrobium orchids and gold glitter branch. The remaining tables featured gold ceramic cylinders with lush designs of white hydrangea, roses, lisianthus and clusters of gold balls.
