Winter Wedding at the Fairmont

Winter Wedding at the Fairmont

For their winter wedding at the Fairmont Hotel, Theodora and John imagined a palette of delicate textures, wintry whites, golds and grays. To start the day, Theodora’s parents send her this lovely arrangement in whites and blush pinks. Winter has some of the best flowers available (surprising!), and so we gathered a mix of peonies, lilac, and ranunculus accented with dusty miller and styled in a birch bark covered container.

Theodora’s bouquet featured classic white and ivory flowers. The bouquet was designed ivory garden roses, roses, ranunculus, stock, and delicate spray allium for a snowy-inspired touch.

As guests arrived at the site, they were greeted with an expressive design of tall curly willow branches springing from a collar of white hydrangea ringing the neck of the vase. The design was finished with white dendrobium orchids nested in the branches to create a wintry bloomed look. Cocktail tables held a mix small square vases with pave designs of ivory roses and more textured designs of white hydrangea, roses, stock, and dusty miller.

The tall reception arrangements were positioned in the Colonnade to create both a backdrop of winter branches and a focal point of white snowy designs of massed baby’s breath.

The reception tables featured a mix of three complimentary designs. Tall fluted glass vases held ethereal yet impressive designs of baby’s breath. Tall cylinder vases held curly willow branches stemming from a collar of white hydrangea, with white orchids nested in the upper branches. Finally, frosted cylinder vases held wintry designs of hydrangea, stock, roses, spray roses, and spray allium accented with silver brunea pods and dusty miller.

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
