It’s always a welcome challenge when our couples come to us with a unique floral palette in mind. Alicia and Gigi used their bridesmaids’ patterned floral dresses as inspiration for the rest of their fall District Winery wedding. Alicia had a pretty clear vision of the wedding style, and so we stepped in with floral choices that would create the classic, casual and fun vibe the couple was going for. Here are highlights from their fall wedding at District Winery.
Can we all just take a minute to stop and drool over our bride’s bouquet?!? From the peach garden roses, to terra cotta roses, orange ranunculus, mango calla lilies, white anemone, blue thistle and more, there as much to delight the eye.
One of the more unusual aspects of Alicia and Gigi’s wedding was the split schedule. The ceremony took place on Friday at the National Cathedral, while the celebration was scheduled for the Monday following on Labor Day weekend. We have worked at District Winery probably a dozen times by now, and garland is the reigning choice to enhance the venue’s long family style reception tables. We particularly love letting the dramatic and romantic effect of letting the garland cascade elegantly to the floor. A lush design focused on summer’s best dahlia graced the two bars, while the garland was tucked with pops of color blooms in shades of peach, orange, and blue.
