Woodlawn Wedding in Blush and Blue

Woodlawn Wedding in Blush and Blue

Woodlawn Pope Leighey House wedding

Oh how we adore a good outdoor wedding at Woodlawn + Pope Leighey House. It’s even sweeter when you have a stunning round arch involved! Lindsay and Matt wanted their wedding first and foremost to be classic and traditional in feel. For the ceremony, the vision was of an elegant, moongate arch decorated simply with a lush design of lemon leaf, rustic, and eucalyptus foliage for varying shades of green. Rose petals delicately lined the aisle. Framed against the house that is Woodlawn’s namesake, the ceremony required little else.

Lindsay’s bouquet held the perfect balance of blush and ivory blooms. In a twist on tradition, Matt and his groomsmen each wore floral pocket squares instead of boutonnieres. Truly fashion forward!

One of our favorite parts of Woodlawn is the fountain garden. It is the perfect space for the cocktail hour. We dressed the four large urns that skirt the pool with potted white flowering plants. For the wedding, a custom seating area with velvet couch, an escort card wall and string lights made this element of the wedding its own experience. Designs of white hydrangea accented the cocktail tables, while touches of greenery accented the welcome sign and escort sign board that greeted guests as they entered. The small touches elevated the cocktail hour. Details make the difference!

The reception featured simple with low gold vases filled with small textured blooms – blush roses and garden roses, ivory spray roses, peach stock, blue thistle, butterfly ranunculus, light pink astilbe, and white campanula finished with eucalyptus foliage.

We still daydream about Lindsay and Matt’s Woodlawn + Pope Leighey House wedding.

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
