Winter Union Station Wedding

The East Hall is the perfect site for an elegant affair, and Rebecca and Michael’s winter Union Station wedding there this past January did not disappoint. The palette of white and green was crisp and classic with modern touches throughout. Rebecca carried a simple design of ivory garden roses accented with white mini-calla lilies and touches of seeded eucalyptus foliage – soft yet modern in its elegance.

The winter Union Station wedding ceremony took place beneath a chuppah first overlaid with curly willow branches and then accented with touches of ivy, jasmine vine, and white dendrobium orchids. The effect was organic yet contemporary in feel.

The tables expressed a simple elegance for the winter Union Station wedding. For half of the tables, a glass cylinder vase held a lush spray of white dendrobium orchids. Tall pilsner style vases held elegant designs of large, white open-cut calla lilies.

For Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding, we played with scale—tall magnolia branches to emphasize the height, lush florals to soften the space, and candlelight to add warmth. The result? An urban oasis that felt both grand and intimate.

We’ve had our share of Irish-inspired wedding, but on a day celebrating green is only felt right to throw it back to Emily & Menachem’s green-filled wedding at Potomac View Terrace. The wedding quite literally brought nature to the forefront of its design. From stately trees lining the ceremony space, to potted ivy plants for cocktail hour decor, and lush greenery garland runners and tall camellia branch designs for the reception, we’re pretty sure an Irish leprechaun would approve! 🍀
