Winter Hotel Monaco Wedding

Winter Hotel Monaco Wedding

Petal's Edge | Real Wedding: Claire and Sam - Hotel Monaco DC | Washington DC Florist

With a perfect blend of classic elegance and seasonal touches, Claire’s and Sam’s winter Hotel Monaco wedding in downtown Washington, DC was a pleasure to design! Claire carried a gorgeous French hand-tied bouquet comprised of classic whites with hints of coral. White amaryllis, black-centered white anemone, white mini calla lilies, white gladiola blossoms, and lily of the valley were the featured blooms, accented with coral sweet pea and wrapped in ivory double-faced satin ribbon. For her maid of honor, we created a complementary bouquet of ivory Vendela roses, white anemone, white gladiola blossoms, and white mini calla lilies, wrapped in navy satin ribbon. Sam’s boutonniere was designed with a classic white mini calla lily accented with blue-black privet berries. Other boutonnieres were created in a complementary style.

Winter Wedding Ceremony

Claire and Sam’s winter Hotel Monaco wedding ceremony was truly breathtaking! The aisle way was flanked by expressive arrangement of coral quince branches. The branches created a stunning architectural effect for the ceremony, with both the spareness of winter branches and the petite blossoms adding a hint of spring.

Bookish Wedding Reception

While half the tables held ethereal coral quince branch arrangements, a tablescape of books and flowers distinguished the remaining tables. Black-centered white anemone, white mini calla lilies, white mini gladiola, and blue-black privet berries, along with touches of chartreuse green lady’s mantle, provided a lush and unique focal point, while the couple’s special photographs were a personalized finishing touch. A vase on the couple’s sweetheart table held Claire’s bridal bouquet as perfectly-scaled decor.

Many thanks to Claire and Sam for having us as part of their special day! Best wishes!

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
