A Classic DC Love Story

A fun couple with an obvious passion for life, Morgan and Brian met in classic DC love story fashion, as our Hungry Lobbyist blogger and FamousDC editor explored the potential for collaboration. Simple, yet striking, florals characterized their gorgeous outdoor wedding at the Woodrow Wilson House.

The wedding included traditional and modern elements, including a Catholic mass at Immaculate Conception Church and an open-air reception at the Woodrow Wilson House in Embassy Row. Simple orchids were centered on the table while twinkle lights lit up the garden as the classic DC love story wedding reception descended into night.

Victorian elegance met modern romance at the Fairmont. ✨ Centerpieces have the power to set the tone for an entire ballroom. Half the guest tables featured tall silver candelabras topped with textured designs of hydrangea, roses, dahlias, and lisianthus in shades of pink and burgundy. More than accents, the elevated designs added height, repetition, and cohesion throughout the room. The balance of tables held silver footed bowls brimming with the same rich palette, styled in a looser, organic shape. Together, the mix of height, texture, and candlelight created a romantic atmosphere that was timeless and unforgettable — the kind of detail that takes a wedding from beautiful to truly show-stopping. 🌸✨

The garden terrace at the St. Regis is stunning on its own, with stately trees and a landscaped patio just steps from the White House. For Katie and Doug’s fall wedding, we added lush urn designs of baby’s breath and camellia branches to frame their vows with a soft, romantic touch. After the ceremony, our team transitioned the designs indoors to flank their sweetheart table. We love finding thoughtful ways to give designs double duty. 🍂✨⁣
