Jennifer and Eric, like many couples, chose to postpone their wedding celebration due to Covid. While they had a small, private ceremony, a year later, they finally celebrated and in a BIG way. Whittemore House was the perfect venue for their wedding vision. Petal’s Edge had the privilege of helping to make that delayed gratification worth the wait! Jennifer had impeccable taste, and it shines in the photos from their Whittemore House wedding.
A classic venue like Whittemore House begs for a classic and elegant floral. We embraced a range of white and mauve hues, using peonies, butterfly ranunculus, Amnesia and Sweet Eskimo roses, astrantia and more. In addition to the lush bouquets for bride and bridesmaids, in true, classic style, the groom wore a boutonniere featuring a white rose accented with camellia foliage.
Creating a true WOW as guests walked into the venue, the staircase was draped in a romantic design of pale pink and mauve roses, stock, astrantia and ranunculus and lush eucalyptus foliage.
For the reception, gold mercury glass bowls were filled with hydrangea, mauve and pale pink roses, stock, mauve astrantia, and butterfly ranunculus accented with eucalyptus. But the real showstopper was the fireplace mantle behind the sweetheart table. It was classic with gardenesque looseness, befitting the style of the Whittemore House wedding.
Worth the wait! It was such a pleasure bringing our couple’s vision for their wedding to life. Congratulations to Jennifer and Eric!
