Summers in DC can get steamy, which makes for a difficult decision when the bride and groom want an outdoor wedding but also don’t want to sweat the small stuff! Enter the perfect idea: bring the outdoors in. Alex and Ryan’s garden wedding actually took place inside, but you’d never know it from the lush greenery and garden flowers decorating the Promenade for the Westin Georgetown wedding.
Alex’ bouquet was a picture of romance, with blush garden roses, loose tendrils of jasmine vine and the most luscious, blush Cafe au Lait dahlia. The similar floral palette was perfect against the blush bridesmaid dresses.
A romantic mirrored sign greeted guests for the ceremony, with eucalyptus and flowers adding a soft, romantic touch. The candle-lined aisle drew guests to the altar, where two lush urns flanked the ceremony for the Westin Georgetown wedding ceremony.
Garlands are so perfect for a garden aesthetic, and each of the long tables featured these rows of greenery accented with flowers in blush and cream hues, further finished with candles along the length of the table. Round tables featured a low compote filled to overflowing with romantic hydrangea, roses, Queen Anne’s lace and more. Creating a striking focal point for the Westin Georgetown wedding reception was an elevated piece that framed the couple along the head table.
Heartfelt congratulations to Alex and Ryan! Your romantic Westin Georgetown wedding is one for the ages.
