Bridgerton Meets Shakespeare: Flowers for the 2026 Folger Gala
Designing the Folger Gala is unlike designing almost any other event in Washington. Each year begins with a blank slate. The venue remains the same, but the story changes completely. In 2025, the inspiration came from the glamour and energy of the Harlem Renaissance. White flowers, gilded foliage, and dramatic ostrich feathers transformed the Folger Shakespeare Library into an elegant celebration of jazz and American artistry. This year, the creative team turned in an entirely different direction, drawing inspiration from the romance and refinement of the Regency era. The design brief called for opulence, movement, and a sense of theatrical abundance….
