It was a gorgeous Friday in June when Amanda and Mark tied the knot! As one of our event management clients, we had the pleasure of seeing them through their whole day, rather than just the floral portion. What a joy it was to be with them as they brought both of their families (many of whom had flown in all the way from the Philippines) together to celebrate their spring Washington Golf Club wedding! The groom’s aunt had handmade the Barong (the national Filipino men’s formal dress shirt) for the all the men in the wedding party and family!
Amanda’s bouquet was a gorgeous spring combination of peonies and roses in pastel shades of white, champagne and blush tones accented with loose tendrils of seeded eucalyptus and lavender blossoms, which was special to the bride. The bridesmaids carried similar bouquets.
The ceremony was held at the stunning St. Matthew’s cathedral in downtown DC, which always makes for fabulous ceremony photos!! The stately Washington Golf and Country Club in Arlington served as a gorgeous backdrop for the reception, providing both a lovely ballroom for the festivities as well as great photo locations on the greens! Flowers on the tables and the cake matched the bouquets, with pale blush, champagne and whites accented with gold giving a classic look to the event.
Despite the Friday afternoon timing of the event, and the risk of encountering traffic traveling between the two locations, the wedding went off without a hitch, and a wonderful time was had by all. It was truly a pleasure working with these two and their lovely family!

Very nice, I would say – amazing!
Petal’s Edge Floral Design, did you use alive flowers to decorate a wedding cake? Also, I’ve just trained as a florist, to get any advice from you would be so grateful!
