Beautiful spaces exist everywhere. You can book a great restaurant or walk into a well-designed hotel any day of the week. But what is it about weddings that feel so extraordinary? Yes, love is the obvious answer. Of course. But truly, when else in your life do you find yourself surrounded by flowers?!?! A wedding is one of those few moments we decide that a single day is worthy of transformation. To fill the room with a most fleeting and precious medium - flowers - knowing they’re here just long enough to make the moment unforgettable.

In discussing final changes, one of our couples had a note of hesitation in her voice, worried her palette might set a different mood than intended. Not seasonal enough? Too austere?

But here’s the thing: mood can be a matter of perspective. Which brings us to this wedding: once upon a time, orange was typecast as a strictly fall color. But flowers don’t follow rules. They bloom wildly, confidently, year-round! There are orange flowers in every season and in recent years, we’ve seen orange blooms show up to spring weddings, as warm oranges at summer soirées, and of course they’re still the favored guest at autumn affairs. Each time, the hue brings something fresh. Joy. Energy. That just-right edge.

Your color story should feel like you. In fact, for Olivia & David’s wedding, our bride’s mother shared that the color palette had been the one in her daughter’s childhood bedroom. A vibrant floral story that she had been living with all along. That’s what flowers can do. Pull memories forward, stitch generations together and turn a wedding into something deeply personal. And if it happens to challenge a few outdated ideas? Even better. 😉

We will never tire of a warm and colorful wedding in the city during the winter months. Sunny yellow just hits differently during those cold dark evenings! 💛
