Berry Toned Winter Wedding

We are so excited to see Amanda and Brian’s stunning winter wedding featured on District Weddings! The wedding featured a rich palette of berry-toned pinks and plums – a welcome spot of brightness on a cold day.

From the garland on the welcome mirror, to the branches dripping with flowers, and the special treatment on the back of the bride’s and groom’s chairs, not a detail was missed. Be sure to check out the full feature, but we’ve included a few of our favorite images from the day below.

If there is one design element that always works at St. Francis Hall, it is candlelight. The stone walls hold the glow in a way that makes the entire room feel warm and intimate once the sun goes down, no matter the time of year.⁣
⁣
For Katherine & Johnathan`’s summer wedding, we layered taper candles in varying pastel shades with small votives across the long tables. The room slowly came alive as guests entered for dinner. The flowers were designed to sit comfortably among the candles rather than compete with them, allowing the light to move through the arrangements and across the tables. By the time everyone was seated, the hall felt completely transformed.⁣

One of the easiest ways to make a ballroom feel dynamic is to stop making every table look the same.⁣
⁣
For Michelle & Sam`s wedding at the Colonnade Room at the Fairmont, we mixed tall centerpieces with lower garden-style arrangements, creating variation throughout the room and giving the eye somewhere new to land at every turn.⁣
⁣
But the tables weren`t carrying the design on their own. A flower-filled garland stretched the length of the head table. Greenery-clad columns framed the colonnade and dance floor throughout the evening. Together, those larger elements helped anchor the room while the centerpieces added rhythm and movement.⁣

Different heights. Different focal points. One cohesive design.⁣
