I can still vividly remember the first time Petal`s Edge was named to the Washingtonian`s "Best Of" list. We were standing outside of Sushi Ko in Cleveland Park, fresh off a lunch with a local wedding planner, and walking back to the car when the phone rang. The call was slightly vague, confirming the company name and spelling and the like. But we knew. And started jumping up and down on the sidewalk. I`m sure we were a sight!
20 years later, each time is no less exciting than the first. We are excited and grateful to be recognized by our peers and media as a top vendor in @washingtonianweddings again this year. It is an honor ot work with the many amazing professional sin the area and to be trusted by clients to make their dreams come true.
We look forward to making many more moments in the coming year!

Happy Lunar New Year. Let`s welcome the year of the Horse 🐴
Convenient, because we already have experience in equine accessorizing 😉
A few years ago we dressed a pair of live horses for a Derby celebration hosted by @dcmagazine. Not in a “costume party” way, but in a tailored, textural, fully committed way. Inside, a sculptural horse bust got the same treatment. Florals with presence. So if this year is about horsepower and momentum, and refusing to do anything halfway, we’re aligned!

Roses may dominate Valentine’s Day, especially the red ones. But anthurium? She’s the modern muse.
Heart-shaped, glossy, and sculptural, anthurium comes in creamy whites, ballet pinks, coral, chocolate, even deep oxblood. It symbolizes love and abundance, but with an editorial edge that feels fresh and fashion-forward.
No wonder it’s had a major glow-up in recent years. Romantic, but make it art. 💘

Petal’s Edge didn’t always do Valentine’s Day.
The pandemic made one thing very clear: we couldn’t build a thriving business around one season or one type of event. Expanding beyond weddings wasn’t dramatic. It was just smart. It pushed us to think differently, to design differently, and to show up for our clients in more moments than just the aisle.
The shift felt natural because we are love junkies at heart. After years of creating wedding days, bringing that same intention to Valentine’s bouquets, anniversary surprises, and birthday deliveries was an easy extension of what we already do.
One of my favorite things is seeing a past couple’s name pop up in our orders, or a family member calling to celebrate a couple whose wedding we flowered years ago. (Or even a panicked Saturday email asking if we can help.) That continuity, that trust, that full-circle moment… it never gets old.
Valentine’s Day is this week. If you’ve been meaning to send something beautiful, this is your nudge. 💗 😘 Order online at ShopPetalsEdge.com
