Summery Yellow River Farm Wedding

Summery Yellow River Farm Wedding

Brigid and Alex really had one of the most picture perfect summery yellow River Farm wedding days. Sunny yellows mixed with cool grays for the color palette, and the whimsical infusion of fruit in the centerpieces added just a touch of casual playfulness.

Brigid carried a beautiful bouquet of ivory roses, yellow and white mini-calla lilies and white freesia accented with dusty miller for a touch of gray. The bridesmaids carried flowers in shades of yellow – roses, calla lilies, freesia – accented with dusty miller, just a shade lighter than their gray dresses. The groom wore a white mini-calla lily and the rest of the men yellow. The clean and crisp modern simplicity highlighted the contrast between the yellows and grays of the wedding palette.

At the summery yellow River Farm wedding reception, guests were greeted with a sea of gently swaying white and gray paper lanterns hanging from the tent poles. Table centerpieces alternated between glass cylinder vases and clusters of pint size mason jars, each lined with lemon slices.  The vases held flowers in varying shades of yellow, whether featured monobotanically or in a textured mix – stock, yarrow, freesia, and roses. Together with the rattan chargers and brown wood chairs, it made for a fresh, summer casual fete!

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.

A night of mystery and masquerade — and the perfect way to fête the 10th anniversary of The Scout Guide Alexandria and the launch of Vol. 10! ✨

We loved adding our signature touch of floral drama to this year’s launch party at the Hotel Heron. From a moody and dramatic entrance piece to a flower-filled car, sculptural arrangements on cocktail tables and elevated bar arrangements casting feathered shadows and moody textures, this event let us play in a world of whimsy and wonder.

We’re proud to be part of a guide that champions small businesses and celebrates creativity in our community. Supporting local means investing in the makers, doers, and dreamers who make Alexandria vibrant — and The Scout Guide does just that, beautifully. Cheers to Vol. 10! Special thanks to Sarah and Claire for always being so supportive and encouraging.
