And of course, no Capitol View at 400 wedding is complete without a stroll over to the U.S. Capitol for portraits. It’s one of the many reasons we love designing weddings at this iconic Washington, DC venue.

For Katherine & Johnathan`’s summer wedding, we layered taper candles in varying pastel shades with small votives across the long tables. The room slowly came alive as guests entered for dinner. The flowers were designed to sit comfortably among the candles rather than compete with them, allowing the light to move through the arrangements and across the tables. By the time everyone was seated, the hall felt completely transformed.⁣

The Old Masters knew something we’re bringing back. ✨

Clusters of plums, grapes, even nuts add to the lush tablescape of flowers, the kind of abundance that belongs in a Caravaggio painting. Rich, tactile, and impossibly beautiful in person.
