Kathleen and Kevin’s summer DAR wedding was every bit of classic as you can imagine. Ivory and champagne roses, ivy, and delphinium for a touch of blue – the design was so perfectly suited to DAR. In an unusual turn, the ceremony took place in the Connecticut Boardroom – a new one for us. With the dramatic fireplace serving as a backdrop, we placed a lush bank of flowers on the mantle. Flanking either side of the antique clock, we fashioned a long, low design of hydrangea, roses, spray roses, dahlia, snapdragons and orchids in ivories and champagnes, finished with variegated ivy and pitt with a classic touch of green.
Blue dominated the summer DAR wedding reception flowers. A classic urn featured a spray design of delphinium, lisianthus, larkspur and snapdragons with draping elements of ivy for the escort card table. Gold bowls were filled with blue hydrangea and delphinium, champagne roses, white stock, spray roses and dahlia finished with variegated ivy.
