Petal’s Edge not only provided the flowers for Alyx and Alex, but also handled the event design and planning, giving us the honor of transforming this grand space into a realm of sophistication.

Using a pristine palette of white blooms and lush greenery, the ceremony was a spectacle of its own. Breathtaking flowers gracefully accented the opening of the aisle, setting the scene for the true pièce de résistance: a floor-to-ceiling backdrop of lights that adorned the stage proscenium. Set against a black velvet drape, this ethereal constellation created a celestial atmosphere, setting the stage for vows that echoed through the hearts of all present. And as if that wasn’t enough, a 10-foot neon sign declared the new couple – The Alvarados – was suspended above the stage.

As the ceremony concluded and reception began, a secret passed clandestinely amongst the guests alerted them to the location of a hidden speakeasy behind the black velvet curtain. “Smoke and Mirrors” was a clandestine retreat inspired by a Queen’s Gambit-meets-Spy Games aesthetic. Lovers of speakeasy lounges, Alyx and Alex wanted to incorporate this element of mystery and intrigue to the celebration. The speakeasy, an intimate escape for the couple and their guests, was an embodiment of the unseen, a nod to the clandestine nature of love and the thrilling journey ahead.

The reception echoed the same elegance with alternating tall and low arrangements on each table. Set upon black table linens, white blooms and greenery nestled in delicate harmony, bringing a dramatic elegance to the celebration.
