How to Shop Safely for Flowers

There are two easy ways to shop safely for flowers, gifts and daily delivery arrangements with us:

  • give us a call for a virtual shopping appointment, or
  • we invite you to shop via our webstore.

We are able to accommodate a very small number of visitors at this time, but will do our best! We are delighted to have participated in the ALX Promise program, which means that we have been trained and have committed to higher safety standards for employees and customers than the minimum rules required by law for all businesses.

Important things to know if you decide to visit the shop in person.

Per VA law and City of Alexandria Health Department requirements, all customers must wear a mask. If you are unable or unwilling to wear a mask, you invite you to shop with us online or by phone. We are unable to allow you to enter without a mask.

Visitors will be required to:

  • Wash or sanitize hands upon entry.
  • Maximum one customer permitted in the shop at a time. We will sanitize between each customer.
  • Please maintain six feet of distance from our staff.
  • We are unable to take cash payments right now. If you order by phone or online, payment will be taken care of ahead of time. We can arrangement for curbside pick up if you wish to pick up your order in person.
  • Our meeting area is closed.

For wedding consultations, we continue to conduct those by phone or zoom. We appreciate your understanding as we maneuver a host of new rules to keep us and everyone safe. We hope to help everyone shop safely.

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
