Located on the Georgetown waterfront, Sequoia restaurant boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and magnificent views of the Potomac River and neighboring Rosslyn’s skyline. It is light-filled space for an elegant wedding. The main dining room features a neon and glass vacuum tube light installation by artist Hitoshi Kuriyama.
The luxurious atmosphere at Sequoia set an elevated tone for Jennifer and Jonathan’s wedding. Reflecting the perfect blend of classic, romantic, and modern sensibilities, the floral palette for this winter Sequoia wedding featured an array of the season’s best – anemone, tweedia, ranunculus, garden roses, and lush, deep green foliages. The pops of color were a welcome warmth to winter’s chill. w
Drawing eyes up in the ballroom were crystal candelabra, each set with blush taper candles. Glass chimneys enclosed the candles and provided an additional glimmer to the reception. The remaining tables alternated between two designs. The first featured a glass cube vase with a lush design of roses, hydrangea, stock and anemone in shades of pink, peach and white. The design sat within an open triangle of blush taper candles in crystal candlesticks. Gold rimmed geometric lanterns were placed on the remaining tables, each with a wreath of peach stock, light pink spray roses, ruscus and eucalyptus foliage. A long and low design dressed the sweetheart table, in which delicate touches of white tweedia and anemone danced above a field of lush garden roses, hydrangea, and stock accented with Italian ruscus. Classic shapes and clean lined modern vessels made for an elegant Sequoia wedding.
