Rustic Torpedo Factory Wedding

Rustic Torpedo Factory Wedding

One of the things we love about the Torpedo Factory is how easily couples are able to bring their own aesthetic into the space. Becca and David’s rustic Torpedo Factory wedding was an apt compliment to fall, with loose organic elements featured throughout. The bridal bouquet featured a rich mix of textures – classic garden flowers like callas, spray roses, dahlia, stock, lisianthus and delphinium were given a rustic touch with loose, frilly lady’s mantle, hypericum berries hanging amaranthus, lavender, scabiosa pods, and even lotus pods, finished with a crisscrossing cage of curly willow branches. The bridesmaids’ carried similar flowers in greens and whites. The groom’s boutonniere featured lavender lisianthus accented with scabiosa pods and lavender.

The chuppah was a truly dramatic centerpiece for the rustic Torpedo Factory wedding ceremony. Curly willow branches across the uprights and front crosspiece were accented with a mix of flowers in a loose, organic style.  Queen Anne’s lace, hanging amaranthus, lady’s mantle, stock, and lotus pods created the perfect blend of rustic and wildflower with accents of orchids and lisianthus lending a touch of purple. Clutches of similar wedding flowers lined the aisle, finished with a purple satin ribbon.

The reception space was truly dramatic, with strings of lights spanning the space to add a delicate twinkle of light creating a romantic atmosphere for the rustic Torpedo Factory wedding. Tall designs featured tall curly willow branches, lavender and white larkspur, light blue delphinium, bells of Ireland, Queen Anne’s lace, and draping touches of green hanging amaranthus with white dendrobium orchids worked into the upper branches. Glass footed bowls featured white hydrangea, dahlia and spray roses, succulents, hypericum berries, lavender lisianthus and stock, lady’s mantle, and scabiosa pods finished with green hanging amaranthus. And as a final elegant touch, posies from the ceremony aisle were repurposed on the back of the bride’s and groom’s chairs!

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
