Romantic Fall Fairmont Hotel Wedding

Romantic Fall Fairmont Hotel Wedding

Bride and groom with bouquet on wedding day in Washington, DC

Emily and Joseph were simply the sweetest couple. They envisioned a romantic Fall Fairmont Hotel wedding with a scheme of pale pinks, champagnes and ivories accented with fall-inspired deep burgundy tones and sagey greens. Emily carried a bridal bouquet of the most perfect, pale pink Keira garden roses, champagne roses, ivory spray roses, and white stock accented with lush, fall textures of burgundy celosia, light pink astilbe, and seeded eucalyptus. The bridesmaids carried simpler, smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, with burgundy scabiosa providing an unusual, organic element to the design. Joseph sported an unusual boutonniere designed with burgundy celosia accented with light pink astilbe and seeded eucalyptus. It was the perfect complement to his stylish, white jacket.

Following a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony at Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown, an elegant reception awaited guests at the Fairmont Hotel. To create a classic, Victorian-inspired elegance, a mix of silver candelabra and classic gold bowls centered each of the dinner tables. Candelabra held richly textured designs of hydrangea, stock, dahlia, protea, roses, lisianthus and astilbe in shades of pink and ivory with splashes of burgundy and finished with seeded eucalyptus and lemon leaf foliages. Gold footed bowls were filled with organic designs of light pink hydrangea and stock, burgundy dahlia, coxcomb, astilbe and scabiosa, and champagne and ivory roses and spray roses finished with touches of seeded eucalyptus.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.

A night of mystery and masquerade — and the perfect way to fête the 10th anniversary of The Scout Guide Alexandria and the launch of Vol. 10! ✨

We loved adding our signature touch of floral drama to this year’s launch party at the Hotel Heron. From a moody and dramatic entrance piece to a flower-filled car, sculptural arrangements on cocktail tables and elevated bar arrangements casting feathered shadows and moody textures, this event let us play in a world of whimsy and wonder.

We’re proud to be part of a guide that champions small businesses and celebrates creativity in our community. Supporting local means investing in the makers, doers, and dreamers who make Alexandria vibrant — and The Scout Guide does just that, beautifully. Cheers to Vol. 10! Special thanks to Sarah and Claire for always being so supportive and encouraging.
