With a sunny floral palette of yellow and orange punctuated with accents of coral, Olivia and Aaron’s wedding embraced the best of summer for their Ritz Carlton Georgetown wedding. Is there a flower that says “summer” any better than sunflowers? Well there were tons of sunflowers! The women held bouquets of sunflowers, the stems left long and banded with burlap and twine for a rustic look.
The chuppah for the Ritz Carlton Georgetown wedding ceremony was constructed of a bamboo frame overlaid with curly willow branches for a touch of wild. A design of seeded eucalyptus, ivy and jasmine vine was positioned across one corner, the vines draping loosely, while moss covered the base of the structure. In keeping with the rustic feel, both sides of the aisle featured mason jars with a lush mix of summer wildflowers – sunflowers, zinnia, solidago, gomphrena, delphinium, godetia and dahlia accented with geranium leaves.
A galvanized French flower bucket held a summery design of sunflowers, black-eyed Susans, solidago, zinnia, gomphrena, delphinium, and dahlia with geranium leaves and jasmine vine providing looseness and texture.
The rustic elegance continued through the reception. The tables expressed the perfect summer fete elegance. For the mix of long and round tables, mason jars were filled with summer blooms in yellows, orange, finished with hints of pink and light blue. The simple white cake was accented with pretty sunflower blossoms.
