Our Favorite Industrial Wedding Venues in DC

industrial DC wedding venue
For some reason, when people think of weddings in this area, industrial wedding venues in DC is not the first thing to spring to mind. And no wonder. The Washington, DC area is filled with many beautiful, classic Beaux Arts mansions and classic hotel venues that would rival their historic charm, but there are in fact some truly dreamy industrial spaces to consider.
If we were to describe why we like industrial wedding venues in one word, it would be this: VERSATILE. Whether your aesthetic goal is ethereal, edgy, modern, formal, rustic, classic, elegant – you name it, it’s possible in a stylish industrial space. It’s not surprising then why they are so appealing. Chic design elements and a cool atmosphere make industrial venues the blank slate you’re looking for. Many of this style venue have a few element in common: an airy atmosphere, large windows, exposed brick, steel beams, metal lighting fixtures, visible piping, concrete flooring. All together, it’s an elegant space in which to say “I do.” Convinced? Well, we’ve listed a few of our favorite industrial wedding venues in the Washington, DC area to get you started.
Torpedo Factory
Right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria on Union Street, overlooking the Potomac River, is a bonafide historic munitions plant turned artist studio and gallery space. The Torpedo Factory is also one of our favorite industrial venues. Filled with art (the venue was transformed into an artist studio and gallery space in 1974), the space is a true blank slate. The venue boasts spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.
Dock 5
Above the artisan marketplace known as Union Market is Dock 5, a fabulous industrial space. This rare fine in DC features more than 12,000 square feet of warehouse space, with high ceilings and room outdoors. It transforms to accommodate everything from an intimate social celebration to a high-end dinner.

Showroom
Located in the heart of Washington, DC next to Franklin Park and blocks from the Convention Center is The Showroom. This one-of-a-kind industrial space offers a blank canvas for clients to create stunning, customized events. We love the downtown location, huge windows and bright, white walls.

Long View Gallery

What really sets Long View Gallery apart is the rotating calendar of art work. Established in 2006 as a place for local artists to display their talents, Long View Gallery features a 9,000 square foot gallery, making it the largest in the city. In addition to showcasing local and international artists, the space has become a premier venue for weddings!

Gallery O on H

And speaking of art work, Gallery O on H pairs the industrial feel with an open air courtyard space for a dreamy outdoor space.

Fathom Gallery

We love the intimate vibe and outdoor rooftop spaces offered by Fathom Gallery. The gallery level offers a wonderful space for a reception. We love the rooftop garden for an unusual ceremony or cocktail hour. City vibes for sure!

Ritz Carlton Georgetown
It feels like cheating to list a hotel on this list, but the Ritz Carlton Georgetown has just that exposed brick, airy space, large window feel in spades.

Eaton Hotel
Well, since we already started cheating with the Ritz Georgetown, we may as well continue with Eaton Hotel. Located in downtown DC at 11th and K Streets, the ballroom as all those industrial features with the benefit of hotel amenities.

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
