Ritz-Carlton Georgetown DC Wedding

Ritz-Carlton Georgetown wedding reception, industrial wedding venue in DC

Like the wedding itself at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown in DC, our couples story take place in the heart of Washington, DC, where fate intertwined the lives of Sarah-from-London and Erkan-from-Istanbul. Their love story began as their professional pursuits brought them to our fairy city. As luck would have it, the duo crossed paths in Las Vegas, which led to a proper first date upon their return to Washington, DC. Despite Sarah’s return to England after the end of her internship, the couple nurtured a two-year-long-distance relationship, weaving memories from Paris to Istanbul.

Their unique journey took an emotional turn at the Georgetown waterfront, where they stumbled upon a hidden diary in a bench. Sarah’s entry narrated their story and expressed a longing to be together. Little did she know that a year later, Erkan would propose through a new entry in that very diary.

Their journey culminated in a wedding with the theme “love is a journey” at the enchanting Ritz-Carlton Georgetown. The celebration featured a soft palette of light blue and nude tones, mirroring the couple’s romantic tale.

Sarah carried a unique bridal bouquet of classic white and ivory blooms with gentle touches of peach, champagne, and pale blue. White dahlias, peach stock, light blue delphinium, champagne Quicksand roses, and more created a captivating arrangement, wrapped in rustic burlap for an added touch.

Maid of honor and junior bridesmaid carried scaled-down versions of the bride’s bouquet, all wrapped in burlap. The groom’s boutonniere and others incorporated white roses and light blue delphinium, tied with rustic twine to complement with the bouquets.

Guests were welcomed with a striking arrangement on the escort card table, featuring a vintage blue mason jar holding a rich design of white and peach stock, champagne Quicksand roses, and more. The rustic elements of the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown in DC wedding was complemented by the industrial vibe of the venue. The guest tables exuded vintage garden elegance with blue mason jars filled with a lush mix of flowers, tying the theme together.

The exquisite wedding cake was adorned with festive clusters of flowers in shades of blue, peach, and white, creating a captivating visual feast. Every floral detail encapsulated the essence of Sarah and Erkan’s journey, making their Ritz-Carlton Georgetown wedding a celebration of love, growth, and the beautiful union of two souls.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.

A night of mystery and masquerade — and the perfect way to fête the 10th anniversary of The Scout Guide Alexandria and the launch of Vol. 10! ✨

We loved adding our signature touch of floral drama to this year’s launch party at the Hotel Heron. From a moody and dramatic entrance piece to a flower-filled car, sculptural arrangements on cocktail tables and elevated bar arrangements casting feathered shadows and moody textures, this event let us play in a world of whimsy and wonder.

We’re proud to be part of a guide that champions small businesses and celebrates creativity in our community. Supporting local means investing in the makers, doers, and dreamers who make Alexandria vibrant — and The Scout Guide does just that, beautifully. Cheers to Vol. 10! Special thanks to Sarah and Claire for always being so supportive and encouraging.
