Pretty Pastel Wedding Details at The Alexandrian Hotel

Pastel wedding portraits in Old Town

With its fresh and sunny color palette and a vintage garden aesthetic, Keeley and Jonny’s pastel wedding at The Alexandrian was a stunning celebration of love! Keeley’s elegant bridal bouquet was a study in soft pastels. The wide array of featured blooms included peach Juliet garden roses, Cafe au Lait dahlia, light pink spray roses, white stock, light blue delphinium, and pale yellow roses, accented with variegated small leaf pittosporum foliage. The finished design was full of texture and cheer.

Her bridesmaids carried smaller and simpler, yet similar, pastel wedding bouquets of peach roses, Cafe au Lait dahlia, white stock, light pink spray roses, and light blue delphinium, accented with variegated small-leaf pittosporum.

The groom’s boutonnière we created for Jonny showcased a festive yellow rose finished with small leaf pittosporum. For the rest of the boutonnières, we substituted an ivory rose.

The couple exchanged vows in a sweet ceremony in The Alexandrian’s courtyard. We had a wonderful time creating a striking focal point for their nuptials, with a design that evoked a magical garden. The couple’s pastel wedding arch was framed with a lush garland of variegated ivy foliage, rimming the top edge and trailing delicately along the sides. The top of the arch was accented with a romantic garden mix of Cafe au Lait dahlia, peach roses, light pink and ivory spray roses, white stock, and light blue delphinium. Accents of hearty southern smilax completed the effect.

After the “I do’s,” guests found their place cards at an escort table festooned with three vintage mint glass containers of varying sizes with a richly textured design of white hydrangea, peach stock, peach roses, light pink spray roses, light blue delphinium, light pink astilbe, and touches of variegated small
pittosporum foliage.

Keeley’s and Jonny’s family and friends then sat down to a wonderful meal al fresco in the courtyard. Half the tables were anchored with a glass cylinder vase filled with a richly textured pastel wedding flower design of white hydrangea, peach stock, Cafe au Lait dahlia, peach roses, light pink astilbe, light pink spray roses, light blue delphinium, and variegated small leaf pittosporum and seeded eucalyptus foliage. The other tables featured glass cylinder vases that held the bridesmaids’ beautiful bouquets.

The happy couple shared their first meal as husband and wife at a sweetheart table adorned with Keeley’s bridal bouquet.

Keeley’s and Jonny’s wedding was filled with soft color, romantic blooms and plenty of love! Thanks for including us as part of it!

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.

A night of mystery and masquerade — and the perfect way to fête the 10th anniversary of The Scout Guide Alexandria and the launch of Vol. 10! ✨

We loved adding our signature touch of floral drama to this year’s launch party at the Hotel Heron. From a moody and dramatic entrance piece to a flower-filled car, sculptural arrangements on cocktail tables and elevated bar arrangements casting feathered shadows and moody textures, this event let us play in a world of whimsy and wonder.

We’re proud to be part of a guide that champions small businesses and celebrates creativity in our community. Supporting local means investing in the makers, doers, and dreamers who make Alexandria vibrant — and The Scout Guide does just that, beautifully. Cheers to Vol. 10! Special thanks to Sarah and Claire for always being so supportive and encouraging.
