Head table with balloon banner for New Year's Eve wedding

Get ready to be swept off your feet by Adrienne and Kenny’s enchanting winter New Year’s Eve wedding at the Hotel Monaco in Washington, DC. Picture a setting where sophistication meets whimsy, where black and white hues take center stage, and where delicate blooms of baby’s breath, anemones and other white flowers weave their magic. Trust us when we say, a winter New Year’s Eve wedding, with its black and white color scheme, is an absolute dream come true. It’s a celebration that merges elegance with playfulness, tradition with modernity, and creates memories that will last a lifetime.

Winter weddings hold a special kind of charm, and when they coincide with a celebration as joyous as New Year’s Eve, well, let’s just say the magic is taken up a notch. The Hotel Monaco provided the perfect backdrop for this one-of-a-kind soirée.

Our fashion forward couple opted for a classic black and white scheme, and boy, did it make a statement! The juxtaposition of these contrasting colors exuded an air of sophistication and brought a touch of glamour to the event. From the elegant black and white stationery to the stunning attire of the wedding party, every detail breathed sheer elegance.

The couple chose a combination of floral designs that would make anyone’s heart skip a beat. Baby’s breath, with its delicate and ethereal appeal, was used abundantly throughout the venue, creating a sense of romantic enchantment. Paired with pristine white roses and the striking beauty of anemones, the floral designs added both drama and whimsy to the festivities.

As the couple finished their “I Dos”, the Paris ballroom underwent a magical transformation from ceremony to reception. Tables were dressed with black linens, while centerpieces alternated between designs of baby’s breath and white blooms or collections of anemone and candles. The soft candlelight cast an enchanting glow upon the guests, allowing the newlyweds and their guests to revel in the joy of the occasion, embracing the magic of the winter season and the promise of a new year.

Cheers to Adrienne and Kenny and to love, laughter, and a happily ever after!

Scenes from holiday pasts and present. While December tends to be a low volume time for weddings, we love the range of things we have gotten to do, from inviting the community into our studio for wreath workshops to helping businesses and hotels decorate with garland, trees and more for the holidays. Do you have a favorite way to decorate? (Spoiler: we loved evergreening that sheep 🐑)

We will be closing soon for a much needed holiday break. See you in the new year!
