Danielle and Aryeh’s sweet springtime wedding at the Fairmont DC was dotted with muted mauves, pretty pinks, and romantic creams. We loved being able to create a dramatic focal point for the escort card table, with lush greenery and shades of mauve and blush atop elegant glass vases, that helped to set off historic family portraits and escort cards. The classic opulence stood in contrast to the simple ceremony, which placed a premium on the solemn nature of the rite before the extravagance of the reception.
The Fairmont DC is a one of our favorite hotels for a wedding. Aside from the exemplary level of service, from the central courtyard to the airy, window-filled Colonnade Room and the exquisite ballrooms, each option is elegant and memorable. In the case of Danielle and Aryeh, they made use of both the Colonnade room for the ceremony and the Grand Ballroom for the reception.
Danielle’s bouquet was a vision of classic elegance, featuring a tailored mix of Tibet, White O’Hara, Amnesia, Cool Water, and Shimmer roses. The lush, fragrant blooms set the tone for the day’s floral narrative.
The ceremony was a breathtaking display of understated luxury. A simple gold poled structure held a natural silk dupioni canopy, under which a pristine white runner provided a clean, elegant walkway. The Colonnade was graced with lush arrangements atop pedestals, adding a touch of softness and color to the sophisticated setting.
The escort card table was a stunning focal point, with three elevated designs atop glass Garnier vases. Each arrangement featured a lush mix of white hydrangea, peach stock, roses in shades of lavender and peach, ivory spray roses, and purple lisianthus, finished with lemon leaf and ruscus foliage. This display greeted guests with a warm and inviting burst of color.
The reception was a harmonious blend of tall and low floral designs, creating an atmosphere of elegance and warmth. Tall glass pilsner vases were topped with rounded designs of white hydrangea, peach stock, roses in shades of lavender and peach, ivory spray roses, and purple lisianthus, finished with lemon leaf and ruscus foliage. These towering arrangements added a touch of grandeur to the room.
On the remaining tables, clear compote dishes held lush, tailored designs of white hydrangea, peach stock, roses in shades of lavender, and peach ranunculus. Accents of purple lisianthus and Israeli ruscus foliage completed these exquisite centerpieces, creating a cohesive and stunning floral narrative.
Danielle and Aryeh’s wedding at the Fairmont Hotel was a testament to the beauty of thoughtful floral design, creating a day that was as enchanting as their love story.
