An incredible mansion withe gorgeous marble floors, gilded ceiling and intricately carved wood walls, Anderson House was originally built in 1905 as the winter residence of Larz Anderson, an American diplomat, and his wife. Filled with European decorative influences, the Larz Anderson House is a luxurious spot to host a wedding.
Anna and Cory’s luxe Anderson House wedding in Washington, DC, was one of the most stunning and stylish we can remember! To coordinate perfectly with the elegance of Anna’s dress, we designed her bridal bouquet in a lacy, ethereal style. Queen Anne’s lace and white astilbe were accented with boxwood and hand-tied with ivory double-faced satin ribbon. Each of Anna’s beautiful bridesmaids, decked out in an eclectic mix of dress styles, carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet, consisting of Queen Anne’s lace and boxwood. For the precious flower girl, we furnished a petite bouquet of baby’s breath.
Stairway to I Do
Dramatic arrangements of lush green ferns were featured throughout the staircase for the Larz Anderson House wedding ceremony, and later did double-duty at the food stations and the outdoor bar.
Stylish Reception
Anna and Cory’s wedding reception at Larz Anderson House was breathtaking, carrying through their palette of whites and greens. Gleaming silver mint julep cups held delicate poufs of white hydrangea accented with boxwood foliage, or, alternately, textured designs of white astilbe, ranunculus, Queen Anne’s lace and boxwood. A lush greenery garland adorned the couple’s sweetheart table for a look that was picture perfect.
Congratulations to Anna and Cory on an enchanting wedding celebration and on your marriage!
