Kiyomi and Abdullah’s wedding at Oxon Hill Manor last fall was the picture of uniqueness, drawing inspiration from the bride’s mother’s Japanese heritage. Kimonos, umbrellas, bamboo containers, and rich Asian golds and reds dominated the wedding. The bridesmaids and flower girl wore kimonos and the groomsmen wore traditional suits tailor-made by the bride’s mother.
