Kari and Brian’s autumn wedding at Hotel Monaco DC was a beautiful study in balance. Rich seasonal tones of burgundy and wine were softened by light neutrals and natural greenery, all set within one of Washington, DC’s most iconic venues. Their celebration embraced fall in a refined, understated way, creating a look that felt warm, elegant, and timeless.
Kari’s bridal bouquet set the tone for the day. A layered mix of burgundy dahlias, roses, spray roses, and orchids created depth and richness, while champagne roses, cream stock, and lisianthus added softness and contrast. Sage silver dollar eucalyptus brought a muted green element that tied the palette together and gave the bouquet a relaxed, organic feel. The maid of honor and junior bridesmaid carried similar bouquets, echoing the bride’s florals while maintaining a cohesive look across the wedding party.
Brian wore a burgundy rose boutonniere accented with silver dollar eucalyptus, a subtle nod to the deeper tones in the overall design. The remaining groomsmen wore champagne roses paired with eucalyptus, creating a thoughtful variation that felt intentional and well balanced.
Guests were welcomed by a dramatic statement arrangement positioned at the entrance, designed to immediately establish the mood for the celebration. Displayed in a hand-blown, flared rim glass vase, the arrangement featured tall curly willow branches for height and movement, layered with white calla lilies, cream stock, burgundy gladiola and snapdragons, and finished with red mokara and James Storei orchids. The result was striking yet refined, a perfect introduction to an autumn wedding at Hotel Monaco DC.
Inside the reception space, tables alternated between tall and low floral designs, taking full advantage of the venue’s vaulted ceilings. The tall centerpieces, which also flanked the aisle during the ceremony, featured a lush but tailored mix of hydrangea, stock, lisianthus, roses, and spray roses in shades of burgundy and cream, finished with silver dollar eucalyptus. The low arrangements mirrored the same floral palette, creating visual continuity throughout the room without overwhelming the space.
The floral story carried through to the couple’s wedding cake, where a cascading arrangement of flowers crowned the tiers. The design added a final celebratory flourish, tying together the colors, textures, and seasonal feel of the day.
Kari and Brian’s autumn wedding at Hotel Monaco DC was a celebration defined by thoughtful design, rich seasonal tones, and an elegant sense of restraint, a fall wedding that felt both inviting and enduring.
