Blues and greys were everywhere at David’s and Josh’s elegant Lyceum wedding in Alexandria, VA. We were honored to create classic floral decor for these handsome grooms and to help set the stage for a wonderful celebration of love!
David’s and Josh’s boutonnieres featured blue thistle accented with silver-hued dusty miller, while the rest of the boutonnieres incorporated light blue delphinium accented with bear grass. For the mothers and the best woman, we created corsages of ivory roses and spray roses for a timeless effect. For the couple’s adorable flower girl, we filled a white wicker basket with a design of blue thistle, finished with silver satin ribbon.
Two striking ceremony altar arrangements made a perfect statement for the elegant Lyceum wedding. Set in copper urns atop pedestals, contained a mix of dark and light blue hydrangea, dark and light blue delphinium, blue thistle, light blue nigella, and dusty miller foliage, with touches of lemon leaf foliage. At the reception, elegant and understated centerpieces shone at each guest table, with lush wreaths of dark blue hydrangea, light blue delphinium, light blue thistle, and silver-hued dusty miller foliage surrounding lanterns provided by the grooms. Meanwhile, David and Josh themselves dined at a classic sweetheart table, accented with a small silver revere bowl filled with a textured design of the same gorgeous blue blooms showcased throughout the wedding. For a sweet finale, we festooned the wedding cake with delicate wedding flowers in a blue and grey color palette.
Congratulations to David and Josh on their beautiful wedding, and thank you for having Petal’s Edge as part of your fantastic vendor team!
