Decatur House DC Wedding first dance

Experience the magic of a summer courtyard wedding at Decatur House in Washington, DC, as we delve into the enchanting floral designs that made this celebration truly memorable. With a sophisticated, romantic, and fun style in mind, our team of talented designers brought Filipa and Ryan’s wedding visions to life. From the elegant French hand-tied bouquet to the exquisite ceremony and reception arrangements, every detail was meticulously crafted to elevate the beauty of this Decatur House wedding.

The centerpiece of this Decatur House DC wedding was the bride’s elegant French hand-tied bouquet. Adorned in a range of white, blush, and soft green hues, this bouquet showcased the natural beauty of Cafe au Lait dahlias, white roses, white stock, white lisianthus, and light pink astilbe. The stems were wrapped in ivory double-faced satin ribbon, adding a touch of luxury to this stunning bouquet.

At the Epiphany Catholic Church, the couple exchanged vows in a setting accented with two traditionally altar arrangements that perfectly complemented the sacred space. These meticulously crafted designs featured white hydrangeas, stock, roses, and spray roses, accented with lemon leaf, ruscus, and eucalyptus foliages. The result was a classic and romantic backdrop, enhancing the solemnity of the ceremony.

The reception at Decatur House DC showcased grandeur and sophistication of the season, with the floral designs playing a pivotal role in creating an enchanting atmosphere. Tall gold Harlow stands took center stage, topped with lush arrangements of white hydrangeas, stock, roses, and lisianthus. The designs were meticulously finished with lemon leaf, ruscus, and eucalyptus foliages, creating a captivating display of opulence.

In addition to the tall arrangements, the reception featured low centerpieces in our favorite gold Lita compotes. These meticulously designed compositions incorporated white hydrangeas, blush stock, roses, spray roses, snapdragons, and lisianthus, all carefully selected to complement the overall theme of the Decatur House wedding. The soft and dreamy color palette, along with the greenery accents, added an organic touch to the tablescapes.

The Decatur House DC wedding was an extraordinary celebration filled with love and beauty. We were honored of creating stunning floral designs that perfectly matched the Filipa and Ryan’s sophisticated, romantic, and fun style. Every detail was meticulously crafted to elevate the ambiance of this Decatur House wedding.

Industrial spaces have a beauty of their own, but the right floral design can take them from warehouse to urban garden. 🌿✨

For Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding, we played with scale—tall magnolia branches to emphasize the height, lush florals to soften the space, and candlelight to add warmth. The result? An urban oasis that felt both grand and intimate.

1️⃣Go Big with Greenery – Tall magnolia branches brought height and movement to Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding

2️⃣ Mix Textures – Lush, low floral arrangements softened the industrial edges while keeping the space dynamic

3️⃣ Layer Candlelight – Warm glows + metal details = a romantic urban oasis

4️⃣ Frame Key Spaces – A floral garland on the head table grounded the design and added intimacy. Trees flanking the table took it to the next level

5️⃣ Contrast is Key – Pairing the raw, industrial elements with soft florals and organic details created the perfect balance

Not all green and white floral palettes are created equal. This one here will NEVER go out of style and is truly as timeless as they come! Magnolia, eucalyptus, rosemary, and delicate touches of white… Add velvet linens and gold touches, and we’re smitten... 😍
