Juliet, Quicksand, Coffee Break, Kahala, Coral Double Expression – those were just some of the many roses we used for Olivia and David’s DAR wedding. We employed a variety of hues ranging from peach to coral to terra cotta to curate a unique floral palette that was prefect for a summer vibe and provide that festive pop of color in an otherwise clean, white marble space. We always love learning how our couples came across their color palette, and Olivia’s mother shared that the colors were also the ones used in her childhood bedroom. How adorably sweet! Our team designed a stunning fireplace mantel piece for the DAR wedding reception using so many roses and some dahlias, too.
The ceremony took place in the traditional spot outdoors, with the Washington monument in the distance. Two grand urn designs flanked the couple while petite bouquets were tied to every chair along the aisle. Each featured orange dahlia, peach garden roses, white hydrangea, Kahala and Coffee Break roses, and ivory spray roses finished with lush salal and smilax foliage.
A simple design graced the tables, where we used one of our favorite containers – the gold Lita compote. The container was filled with a rich floral palette of roses, dahlia, butterfly ranunculus and stock in shades of peach, orange, coral, and terra cotta and little pops of white. We loved the peach linens and burnt orange napkins that finished the display.
