Venue Spotlight: Congressional Country Club Wedding

You’ve likely heard of Congressional Country Club for its golf activities, and in fact, Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD has been home to five major golf championships, including three US Opens and a PGA championship among other noteworthy events. It is considered one of the most prestigious golf clubs in the world. It is also a stunning wedding venue.

A wedding at Congressional Country Club is always one of our favorites! Driving up, the clubhouse architecture is simply magnificent and reminiscent of a Spanish colonial style. The grand ballroom features soaring ceilings and unparalleled architectural detail.

History

The club was founded in 1921 by two congressmen, and the club has played host to many elected officials and presidents in its history. The expansive clubhouse is one of the largest in the United States, and was designed by architect Philip Julian.

Couples can choose between indoor or outdoor venues to celebrate their special day. Serene golf courses create a beautiful backdrop for photos. Guests can spend their evening relaxing outdoors on the patio or on the rolling grounds. The grand ballroom can seat up to 50 guests,

Designing for Lana & Pablo’s wedding at the Cosmos Club in Washington, DC was nothing short of a dream. With its gilded interiors and old-world elegance, this historic venue provided the perfect contrast to their modern, sculptural ceremony arch—a statement piece that stood out beautifully against the ornate detailing. Later, the arch did double duty as a chic cake display, proving that thoughtful design is always in style.⁣
