Colorful Fall Woodend Wedding

Colorful Fall Woodend Wedding

When asked what they had in mind for their wedding, Kristin and Saujan described the look as classic with a touch of bohemian, loose and organic, and with a color palette of rich oranges, yellows, reds, pinks and even a touch of blue. Whew! A lot of look, but their colorful Fall Woodend wedding came together beautifully. Kristin’s bouquet featured rich, warm hued Free Spirit roses, yellow ranunculus, orange dahlia, red spray roses, hot pink coxcomb, a mix of zinnia, and green millet accented with blue thistle and privet berries  finished with loose touches of seeded eucalyptus and feathery burgundy agony foliage. Saujan’s boutonniere featured a mix of coxcomb and thistle accented with seeded eucalyptus. The bridesmaid’s wore navy dresses, while their bouquets featured similar loose textures and vibrant colors as the bridal flowers. Featuring a mix of Free Spirit roses, and ranunculus, dahlia, zinnia, coxcomb and spray roses in oranges, yellows, reds and pinks, the bouquets were accented with thistle, seeded eucalyptus and agonis. We really loved these elegant and detailed photos of the boutonnieres. Similar but simpler than Saujan’s boutonniere, the rest of the men wore blue thistle accented with seeded eucalyptus.

We love how, for the American ceremony, you can see many of the rich colors from the flowers in the guests’ choice of clothing. Though the ceremony didn’t include a great number of flowers aside from the bride and bridesmaids’ hand-held flowers, the guests rounded the decor in a sense to complement the colorful Fall Woodend wedding.

The colorful Woodend wedding reception featured vibrant low table arrangements across a room of pale linens paired with gold chairs and dark blue chair pads. The centerpieces featured gold glass footed bowl – the touch of classic the couple described – filled with lush, textured designs of yarrow, stock, roses and spray roses, ranunculus, dahlia, zinnia, coxcomb and millet in oranges, yellows, reds, and pinks finished with thistle, seeded eucalyptus and agonis foliage.

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
