In discussing final changes recently, one of our couple had a note of hesitation in her voice, worried her palette might set a different mood than intended. Not seasonal enough? Too austere?
But here’s the thing: mood can be a matter of perspective. Which brings us to this wedding: once upon a time, orange was typecast as a strictly fall color. But flowers don’t follow rules. They bloom wildly, confidently, year-round! There are orange flowers in every season and in recent years, we’ve seen orange blooms show up to spring weddings, as warm oranges at summer soirées, and of course they’re still the favored guest at autumn affairs. Each time, the hue brings something fresh. Joy. Energy. That just-right edge.
Your color story should feel like you. In fact, for Olivia & David’s wedding, our bride’s mother shared that the color palette had been the one in her daughter’s childhood bedroom. A vibrant floral story that she had been living with all along. That’s what flowers can do. Pull memories forward, stitch generations together and turn a wedding into something deeply personal. And if it happens to challenge a few outdated ideas? Even better. 😉

It’s Earth Day, and we are all about utilizing plants in your design that can be repurposed after the wedding day comes to an end. For Anna and Cory, lush palms and ferns were peppered throughout the majestic staircase and ballroom to soften the venue and bring in some natural elements.

Suspended pieces like these are the ones we dream of at night! Who wouldn’t want to dine beneath a floating garden dripping with snapdragons, larkspur, astilbe and fresh smilax?

A rooftop wedding with views like no other! It’s no wonder they call it Top of the Town. We will gladly take any opportunity to beautify this space with flowers!
Funny story though - rooftops notoriously have a LOT of wind. While setting up for Angeluka & Sean’s ceremony, the wind literally plucked one of the blooms out of the arrangement, and sent it flying over the railing. 😂
