Brunch Wedding

Brunch Wedding

It was a gorgeous day in November when Larissa and Sean wed at the Carnegie Institution. We not only had the pleasure of doing their flowers, but were also pleased to help them with the management of their big day! We always enjoy joining couples for the whole wedding day, since it gives us an opportunity to get to know them and their families a little better.

Larissa carried a bouquet of simply gorgeous ivory and champagne-toned roses, accented with petite ivory spray roses.  Her bridesmaids matched her with bouquets of ivory roses.

There is nothing more gorgeous then the rotunda at the Carnegie Institute for a wedding ceremony!! The couple was flanked by two large arrangements or ivory and white flower on pillars, with matching ones in the alcoves. The altar pieces were later moved to the two spaces on the other side of the rotunda, completing the look for the dancing later.

Oh the details!! While we can’t take credit for the ideas, we certainly had fun setting them up for them! The couple had a DC-themed brunch wedding, complete with vintage DC postcards for the guests to leave their thoughts for the couple, mini-vintage post office boxes for the cards and table names based on DC landmarks. And what is more fitting than a Sunday crossword puzzle (with clues from the couple’s life together!) and pop tarts from Ted’s Bulletin for brunch?

The day ended with a sword arch from the groom’s Navy groomsmen and friends, whisking them off to an afternoon taking photos together at the monuments in a vintage car! It was the perfect DC wedding. We wish Larissa and Sean all the best for a long and happy life together!!

Industrial spaces have a beauty of their own, but the right floral design can take them from warehouse to urban garden. 🌿✨

For Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding, we played with scale—tall magnolia branches to emphasize the height, lush florals to soften the space, and candlelight to add warmth. The result? An urban oasis that felt both grand and intimate.

1️⃣Go Big with Greenery – Tall magnolia branches brought height and movement to Laura & Michael’s Dock 5 wedding

2️⃣ Mix Textures – Lush, low floral arrangements softened the industrial edges while keeping the space dynamic

3️⃣ Layer Candlelight – Warm glows + metal details = a romantic urban oasis

4️⃣ Frame Key Spaces – A floral garland on the head table grounded the design and added intimacy. Trees flanking the table took it to the next level

5️⃣ Contrast is Key – Pairing the raw, industrial elements with soft florals and organic details created the perfect balance

Not all green and white floral palettes are created equal. This one here will NEVER go out of style and is truly as timeless as they come! Magnolia, eucalyptus, rosemary, and delicate touches of white… Add velvet linens and gold touches, and we’re smitten... 😍
