Our story of Ella and Brandon begins long before their wedding day. Before their wedding planning, in fact, when Ella contacted us to provide a bouquet for a styled shoot she had planned. Ella runs a vibrant fashion blog and Instagram account, and is frequently creating content for her social media feed. So in the end when enlisting our advice and services for a bohemian backyard wedding, we were in!
Shenandoah Engagement Shoot
We designed this monster huge bouquet full of loose and lush greens, accompanied by roses in blushes, sandy hues and whites. The results were just dreamy. One look at the photos, and you’ll fall in love like we did.
Fall Engagement Shoot
Shortly after, we made plans to work together on the wedding flowers, but before that! We had another fall-inspired shoot. Once again, so dreamy! The style inspiration for this was much more early and organic. Browns, peaches and oranges, sage green hues. Aside from two styles of bouquets, we designed a floral crown and pocket square for Brandon. We provided two looks for the shoot and experimented with a host of bleached and dried product, including bleach gypsophila, ruscus cups and bunny tails.
Ella & Brandon’s Wedding Day
It’s not often that we get a chance to design for an event at someone’s private home, but our team is always up for the challenge of a bohemian backyard wedding. Using her parent’s property as the venue, Ella’s vision was full of rustic, bohemian touches – a palette of romantic neutral hues, pampas grass, vintage vases and more – with many of the details elements she was providing herself. This was the perfect style for the unconventional bride looking for a muted palette. Ella’s bridal gown in particular was more unique than most, incorporating both a muted pattern, movement and unique details that set it apart. To complement, her bridal bouquet featured a mix of soft hued Quicksand and Sweet Eskimo roses, ivory majolica spray roses, bleached ruscus and stems of pampas grass. Each of the bridesmaids carried a gold hoops ringed with pampas grass.
For the bohemian backyard wedding ceremony, a rustic wood arch served as the focal point. The structure was adorned with a crocheted backdrop, flanked on either size with large scale vases holding tall stems of pampas grass. A romantic aisle featured carpets of varying sizes.
Thank you Ella and Brandon for trusting us with your wedding details, and for the on-going collaboration! We wish you the best in your life together!
