In the heart of Washington DC, the Hotel Monaco played host to Elizabeth and David’s breathtakingly beautiful summer wedding, which featured a stunning blend of cool blue, white, and purple in their floral palette. The wedding was a true feast for the eyes, brimming with luxury and elegance at every turn.
Elizabeth’s bouquet was a textured floral dream, featuring white roses, light blue hybrid delphinium, purple lisianthus, white stock, light blue tweedia and touches of lavender finished with silver hued dusty miller foliage. The groom, not to be outdone, sported a stylish floral pocket square, adding a personal touch to his ensemble.
Each bridesmaid brought a unique element to the ceremony, carrying monobotanic bouquets. These individual bouquets, drawn from one of the flowers in the bridal bouquet, echoed the floral theme of the bride’s bouquet, creating a cohesive and stunning visual.
Tall arrangements on pedestals flanked both sides of the ceremony aisle at the Hotel Monaco, creating a pathway to the dramatic rotunda in the center of the room and focal point for the nuptials. Elizabeth and David recited their vows beneath a birch pole chuppah, accented with an asymmetrical design of flowers in mesmerizing shades of blues, whites, and purples. Flowers were placed on both front and back, the perfect solution to Hotel Monaco’s “in the round” ceremony orientation. The design was not just a backdrop but a central piece of art, setting a romantic and enchanting mood for the couple’s vows.
As guests entered the ballroom for the reception, they were greeted by the exquisite beauty of blue and purple wedding decor. Guests were greeted by a captivating mix of tall and low arrangements, a testament to luxury wedding flowers in DC. These arrangements were strategically placed throughout the reception, creating an immersive experience that was both intimate and grand.
The sweetheart table, however, stole the show. It featured a dramatic design along the front. A lush garden of hydrangea, roses, hybrid delphinium and lisianthus in beautiful blues, whites, and purple represented the intersection of luxury and economy, with the flowers were repurposed from the chuppah flowers.
