Black Tie New Year’s Eve Wedding

Black Tie New Year’s Eve Wedding

Can you imagine ringing in the new year with with all of your loved ones? Ilana and Sarah knew they wanted a winter wedding, and as discussion circled around the date, the realized everyone would love a new year’s eve wedding celebration! Their gorgeous black tie fête simply oozed with winter glam. Working off their love of metallics and the New Year’s theme, they opted for a classic gold and ivory color palette.

With a palette of classic whites and festive metallic touches, the wedding embraced a spare winter aesthetic of branches, snowy touches, and warm candlelight hues.  The two brides carried distinct bouquets – Ilana’s a more classic bouquet of roses, ranunculus and gardenia and Sarah’s a dramatic, modern bouquet constructed from ivory rose petals.

The chuppah was constructed from birch poles overlaid with curly willow branches, accented with hanging votives, and seated in urns filled with wispy baby’s breath.  In one of our favorite moments from the ceremony, the brides were showered with festive glitter as their recessed back down the aisle.  Gold and silver party horns served as escort cards, and the reception featured two festive and wintry table designs, while hundreds of hanging votives were suspended above the dance floor. Honoring the “countdown” to midnight, a vintage clock served as the stand for the table number.

We are back at Woodend this coming week, and it has us reminiscing about Amanda and Jack’s whimsical, wonderful, William Morris-inspired dream of a wedding with an Art Nouveau twist. The wedding layered bohemian textures, vintage details, woodland creatures and, of course, romantic blooms into a palette that felt both grounded and poetic. Think climbing vines, golden light, and flowers that felt like they had stepped out of an heirloom wallpaper print - in the best way. We’re still swooning. 💫

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.
