Kristen and Kevin’s berry toned wedding featured a rich color scheme of fuchsia, purples and blues with accents of gray. Paired with Kristen’s affinity for unusual and exotic flowers, it made for a unique wedding and certainly a different style than that typically associated with the fall.
Kristen’s bouquet featured purple and hot pink vanda orchids, purple lisianthus, purple-throated ‘Picasso’ mini-calla lilies, blue thistle, and accents of silver brunea pods. Kristen loves spider mums, and so for the bridesmaids, they were paired with fuchsia stock, purple lisianthus, and blue thistle.
The beautiful ceremony in the rotunda at the Carnegie Institute featured elegant wrought iron stands in each of the four alcoves. Each held a design in hot pinks, fuchsias, purples and blues of hydrangea, stock, dahlia, lisianthus, thistle, orchids with touches of gray dusty miller and green salal.
For the reception, gorgeous gray linens allowed the bright purple hydrangea, stock and orchids, fuchsia stock, blue thistle, and dusty miller to pop on the table. The flowers were each seated in a contemporary, square glass vase. A matching design was placed on the escort card table.
