Alexandria VA Microwedding at The George of Old Town

When we say small wedding, big style—Hannah and Anthony’s wedding at The George in Old Town Alexandria is exactly what we mean! This intimate day was all about chic details and personal touches, and we can’t stop obsessing over how effortlessly elegant it was.

The George of Old Town is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, VA. Known for its historic charm and cozy courtyard, this venue brings together old-world elegance with modern, urban vibes. The arched back gate of the townhouse made the perfect backdrop for Hannah and Anthony’s ceremony, creating a space that felt private yet timeless.

Hannah’s look? Pure modern romance—pearl-embossed gloves, a sleek gown with a cut-out back, and those stunning Prada shoes. (Major bridal fashion goals, right?!) Her bouquet was a swoon-worthy mix of white peonies, roses, and sweet peas accented with touches of Italian ruscus. Anthony? Looking sharp with his matching white spray rose boutonniere.

The ceremony? Absolute magic. Held in The George’s gorgeous courtyard, we designed a deconstructed floral arch to frame them and echo the shape of the brick archway. It was a dreamy combo of white roses, football mums, and spray roses—stood in front of the townhouse’s stunning gate. Oh, and did we mention the black-and-white striped runner that led to the arch? Chic and modern to the max! And just before the ceremony, Hannah and Anthony’s black and white pugs (yes, they’re part of the fam too!) posed with them in front of that beautiful arch.

At the reception, minimal but luxe vibes ruled. Think sleek gold candlesticks with black taper candles and bud vases with simple white roses atop a black runner. Understated, but SO impactful.

Small guest list, big style! If you’re planning a microwedding in Alexandria, VA, take notes from these two—you can absolutely have an intimate celebration that’s packed with WOW-factor.

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
