Forest-Inspired Woodend Wedding

Forest-Inspired Woodend Wedding

A soothing palette of forest greens served as the grounding backdrop of Mitch and Patrick’s nuptials. Their forest-inspired Woodend wedding embraced the best of autumn with rich reds, yellows and oranges with maidenhair fern. White mini-calla lilies served as the grooms’ boutonnieres, simple and masculine in style. Each of the female attendants carried simple bouquets of red, yellow and mango mini-calla lilies, the stems wrapped in a natural white muslin for a rustic touch.

The forest-inspired Woodend ceremony, which took place on a truly picturesque September day in the grove, was simply decorated. Posies of orange and yellow callas, dahlia, roses and mokara orchids accented with hypericum berries marked every row on the aisle, finished with a muslin ribbon. The escort card table was graced with a dramatic tablescape consisting of several pieces of interwoven manzanita branch set on pieces of moss and accented with maidenhair fern, yellow cymbidium orchid blossoms, and hanging Spanish moss nested and secured along the branches.

Continuing with the forest-Inspired Woodend wedding theme, guest tables conveyed an informal elegance. A mix of glass cylinder vases holding terrarium-style centerpieces of maidenhair fern accompanied by wood boxes. The boxes held textured designs of orange and yellow roses, dahlia, mokara orchids, and mini-calla lilies accented with burgundy dahlia, red hypericum berries and maidenhair fern.

We are back at Woodend this coming week, and it has us reminiscing about Amanda and Jack’s whimsical, wonderful, William Morris-inspired dream of a wedding with an Art Nouveau twist. The wedding layered bohemian textures, vintage details, woodland creatures and, of course, romantic blooms into a palette that felt both grounded and poetic. Think climbing vines, golden light, and flowers that felt like they had stepped out of an heirloom wallpaper print - in the best way. We’re still swooning. 💫

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.
