Best Alexandria Wedding Venues

Torpedo Factory wedding altar

As an Alexandria florist who has designed flowers for 2,000+ weddings, we know the best wedding venues in Alexandria. We believe your wedding flowers should evoke the feelings of your wedding day. Your flowers should genuinely reflect you and your personal style. Selecting a great wedding venue is the first step to bringing your vision to life.

It’s hard not to love a venue in your own neighborhood, and we boast several wonderful gems. Each Alexandria wedding venues is distinct with unique qualities of their own and for hosting a wedding.

The Alexandrian Hotel

Located in the heart of Old Town on King Street, the Alexandrian is at once unique and stylish. Luxurious classic but quirky decor characterizes each of the spaces, from the lobby to suites to the ballrooms. The site provides lots of options from a ceremony, from the great outdoors in the brick enclosed courtyard (an entrance from the carriageway gives an extra long aisle!) or one of the well-appointed ballrooms. We’ve even help execute several outdoor receptions in the space – both with and without tents! But rest assured, in inclement weather, the ballroom is a beautiful space. The food is truly incredible. Be sure to try to shrimp and grits! The space comfortably accommodates 170 guests.

The Alexandrian Hotel is one of our favorites, whether you imagine a wedding in spring, summer, fall or winter!

Torpedo Factory

What you can expect from this converted munitions plant? Industrial chic and lots of art from three floors of artist studios. The Torpedo Factory is both a fun and unique venue for a wedding. The back terrace overlooking the Potomac is perfect for cocktails, and the industrial nature opens up lots of opportunities for suspended decor.

Morrison House

At the Morrison House, colonial charm meets contemporary elegance. Elegant stairs proceed from a brick patio up to the colonnaded entryway. For such a small venue, the options for ceremonies abound, from an outdoor set up centered on the portico at the front (hang a wreath on the door as a focal point!) to using the front room in a variety of ways – against the doors, fireplace, or far alcove. Receptions can be set up with traditional round tables or a long a family-style dinner table. The Morrison House is ideal for smaller weddings, and can accommodate up to 80 guests.

The Morrison House ranks among our favorite intimate wedding venues.

Archer Hotel

The Archer Hotel, former the Lorien Hotel & Spa, features a spa on the premises as well as a fresh, modern style. We love the sitting area with the built in bookcases along the wall. Whether using the vine-lined courtyard or the rooftop terrace, ceremonies at the Lorien are simultaneously intimate and grand. It’s surprising that such a space can hold up to 100 for dinner and dancing! Again, amazing food.

Woodlawn & Pope Leighy House

It’s hard to believe Woodlawn is so close to DC, but believe it or not, the private historic site with large tent is just down route 1 in Alexandria. With an elegant backdrop of trees surrounding the property, you would never know you were in the near suburbs. What we love about Woodlawn is not only all the history at the site, but the blank slate the tent and other aspects of the venue offer for making your event uniquely your own. The tent can accommodate up to 250 guests.

Woodlawn is one of our favorite tented wedding venues. Learn more about why we love tent weddings so much.

Belle Haven Country Club

Belle Haven Country Club, located on the grounds of the 18-hole golf course on Fort Hunt Road, features a 64,000 square foot clubhouse and has been host to some beautiful weddings. The banquet facilities feature a separate entrance for weddings, making it feel exceptionally personal and private. The ballroom itself is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the golf course and the Potomac River.

River Farm

The headquarters of the American Horticultural Society, River Farm features expansive gardens. Be still my flower loving heart!! The garden are just stunning and the grounds make the perfect backdrop for your photos.

Scenes from holiday pasts and present. While December tends to be a low volume time for weddings, we love the range of things we have gotten to do, from inviting the community into our studio for wreath workshops to helping businesses and hotels decorate with garland, trees and more for the holidays. Do you have a favorite way to decorate?

We will be closing soon for a much needed holiday break. See you in the new year!

MOODY ROMANCE ✨ Daryn & Kelsey’s wedding last weekend was the definition of moody romance. A room glowing in candlelight, black linens setting the stage for elevated greenery hedges kissed 💋 with baby’s breath and dreamy hanging glass globes cradling flickering votives. Black and deep plum tapers paired with glass chimneys added a touch of drama, while the sweetheart table gave our couple the place of honor, accented with lush greenery and flowers in soft mauve and blush.

Every detail felt like it was straight out of a modern fairytale. 🖤 🤍 ✨ What’s your favorite part of this stunning set up?
