Woodend Sanctuary Wedding

Woodend Sanctuary wedding ceremony

Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, MD can only be described as enchanting. And equally so for of Hannah and Nick’s wedding! Our childhood sweethearts lucked out with the most perfect October weather, as they held their Woodend Sanctuary wedding ceremony in the wooded grove with reception to follow in the elegant tent. This Woodend Sanctuary wedding in classic white and green featured a textured nod to fall with rich foliage and berries amidst the mix of classic white botanicals.

With the wildflower meadow acting as a backdrop to the beautiful grove, and a stunning classic palette of whites and greens, it made for a picture-perfect ceremony. A wood-stained chuppah acted as the ceremony focal point, with asymmetrical floral pieces framing the couple on the upper left and right sides of the structure. Simple and stunning.

The couple carried the classic theme throughout their entire day. The wedding party carried the most lush and textured bouquets. Hannah’s bouquet included white and ivory garden roses, lisianthus, spray roses, ranunculus and even white hypericum berries finished with eucalyptus and acacia foliages. The classic floral palette mixed with a range of textures was perfect for a Woodend wedding in white and green. Her bridesmaids, wearing burgundy gowns, held smaller bouquets with a complementary floral palette.

Once guests filtered towards the tend following the ceremony, they found an intimate setting for dinner and dancing. The centerpieces included lush floral in gold compotes with classic green and white floral arrangements. An elegant eucalyptus garland extended the length of the head table. Everything flowed together seamlessly and cohesively even with the subtle variation of centerpieces.

It was an honor to work with Hannah and Nick, and after postponing their original wedding date, we are glad they had a day full of love, laughter and more.

A rooftop celebration that proves timeless can still be bold. For Elaine & Trey’s wedding at Capitol View at 400, we leaned into classic green and white, but elevated it with sculptural greenery installations, gold Harlow stands, and skyline views that stretched for miles. A ceiling of foliage softened the tented space, while sleek black bridesmaid dresses added contrast and edge. Clean, refined, and impossibly romantic.

It’s Bike to Work Day — and while we usually pedal toward petals, we couldn’t resist sharing this creative twist from Elle & Bryan, one of our couples who wheeled their love of cycling straight into the ceremony. 🚲✨

Elle & Bryan’s wedding at Dumbarton House was full of charm, personal touches, and one especially fun nod to their love of cycling. Bicycle wheels became sculptural backdrops, proving that when it comes to personal touches, there’s no such thing as too niche.

Designing florals around unexpected objects? That’s our lane. And yes — it was all uphill in the best possible way.
