Winter Wedding Style

Winter Wedding Style

Winter is one of our favorite times of year to design a wedding, and Christmastime in particular is full of automatic inspiration. Crisp air, twinkling lights, and vibes of warmth and togetherness… there’s good reason winter weddings, especially around Christmas, feel so charming and irresistible! After all, it’s already a time of gathering you’re your nearest and dearest, and if that doesn’t say wedding, what does? It’s such a festive time already that it becomes the perfect time to say “I Do!” Embrace the magic, let it snow, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Many couples shy away from this time of year for fear of being kitschy, but we say go all in! Here are some of our suggestions for finding the balance between embracing festive details and curating your look so that it remains tasteful and sophisticated.

Venue Magic: Let it Shine!

Whether it’s wreaths or garlands, many venues will already be decorated for the holidays. The twinkling lights and festive trees can create a stunning backdrop for your ceremony and put your guests in the mood for a joyous celebration. We adore how the Willard Intercontinental Hotel is decked out – inside and out. Churches will often be filled with poinsettias at the altar.

Invitations: Set the Tone

Whether it’s holly or evergreen accents or a color palette of reds and greens, subtle touches in your invitation suite give your guests a sneak peek into the festive celebration awaiting them.

Bouquets That Echo the Season’s Spirit Let your bouquet reflect the winter wonderland outside! Think deep reds amaryllis, wispy astilbe, vibrant greens, and maybe even pine cones. It’s a beautiful way to bring the magic of the season into your personal floral arrangements

Velvet Ribbons: A Touch of Luxury Enhance the elegance with velvet ribbons. Wrap them around your bouquet or incorporate them into your décor for a touch of luxurious warmth.

Wreath-Inspired Details Imagine a dashing evergreen lapel piece paired with a festive bow tie – a unique way to extend the holiday charm to the groom and groomsmen with wreath-inspired boutonnieres.

Cozy Accessories: Warmth and Style Don’t shy away from cozy accessories. Consider incorporating muffs into your bridal ensemble for a chic and winter-appropriate look.

  1. Wintry Tablescapes: Let the Celebration Unfold Transform your reception into a winter wonderland with wintry tablescapes. Picture a head table adorned with suspended designs of evergreens running its length – pure magic!

Scenes from holiday pasts and present. While December tends to be a low volume time for weddings, we love the range of things we have gotten to do, from inviting the community into our studio for wreath workshops to helping businesses and hotels decorate with garland, trees and more for the holidays. Do you have a favorite way to decorate?

We will be closing soon for a much needed holiday break. See you in the new year!

MOODY ROMANCE ✨ Daryn & Kelsey’s wedding last weekend was the definition of moody romance. A room glowing in candlelight, black linens setting the stage for elevated greenery hedges kissed 💋 with baby’s breath and dreamy hanging glass globes cradling flickering votives. Black and deep plum tapers paired with glass chimneys added a touch of drama, while the sweetheart table gave our couple the place of honor, accented with lush greenery and flowers in soft mauve and blush.

Every detail felt like it was straight out of a modern fairytale. 🖤 🤍 ✨ What’s your favorite part of this stunning set up?
