Whimsical Wildflower Wedding
Alycia and Scott had planned the most beautiful April wedding at The Alexandrian Hotel. The scheme was replete with stunning spring flowers like ranunculus, lisianthus, delphinium, roses and a tons of little textured blooms to make guests feel as though they had been transported to whimsical wildflower garden. And like many a wedding last year, they were forced to reschedule… But luck must smile on the lovely because although they had to reschedule the whimsical wildflower wedding to fall, just about ALL of the flowers planned were available to us!
Yellow butterfly ranunculus floated delicately above the lush Free Spirit roses, peach stock, orange ranunculus, yellow billy balls, and blue delphinium in Alycia’s bouquet, with small touches of white brought in through chamomile daisies and Queen Anne’s lace. Her maid of honor and junior bridesmaid carried smaller, simpler versions of the wedding blooms and textures.
Ceremony al Fresco
The two were married in The Alexandrian Hotel’s elegant brick courtyard. The rows for the ceremony aisle were lined with vintage blue mason jars, each holding loose, wildflower designs of stock, delphinium, ranunculus, daisies and Queen Anne’s lace in colorful orange, peach, yellow and blue hues, finished with delicate touches of umbrella fern. The perfect thoughtful touches for a wedding ceremony!
Courtyard Reception
Augmenting the whimsical wildflower wedding feel, the tables each featured an eclectic mix of containers. Vintage milk glass, mason jar, and bottles each were filled with a playful array of wildflowers in bright corals, yellows and blues.
We wish all the best to this sweet couple!
