Whimsical Meridian House Wedding

Whimsical Meridian House Wedding

Meridian House wedding

A beautiful early May day, rustic touches, and soft pastels created the love-filled, romantic backdrop for Liz and Juan’s whimsical Meridian House wedding. (Have we mentioned yet how much we love this place?) The ceremony took place in the House’s beautiful gardens. White wood chairs were lined up facing the main planting bed, the aisle side chairs accented with lush bouquets of lavender finished with burlap ribbon.

Liz carried a bouquet of white peonies, stock, ranunculus, spray roses, and tulips accented with Anna roses for a blush of pink and touches of lavender. The bridesmaids carried similar but simpler bouquets. For a rustic touch, the bouquets were all wrapped in rustic burlap. We love the distinct soft pastel tones of each of the bridesmaids’ dresses! Juan wore a white ranunculus blossom to match Liz’s bouquet. As guests proceeded to the Linden Grove for the cocktail hour, they were greeted with festive white paper lanterns strung amidst the trees.

For the reception, lush and ethereal arrangements of baby’s breath graced the escort card table in a grand, hand blown glass vase. Completing the scheme for the whimsical Meridian House wedding were petite vases wrapped in burlap and lace for the reception tables, each filled with poufs of baby’s breath.

Stuck on your floral color palette? Don’t stress - we’ve got you covered! Choosing colors for your wedding can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Here’s three easy tips to get started:

1. Look in your closet. Seriously! You know more about color theory than you think. Some colors just click together - and click with you! Think about the colors you wear & love.

2. Grab a color wheel for inspiration. Play around with ideas. Mix and match until you see a palette that makes your heart skip a beat. Need to see more colors? Paint swatches can help make the process visual.

3. Build out your palette. All colors don’t have to be in your flowers only. Think of flowers, linens, paper products, even candles as your cast. Once you have 2-3 main colors, layer in complementary tones to add depth. Love blush? Add mauve and peach for a romantic vibe!
