In the heart of Washington D.C., a mesmerizing October wedding bloomed at the Westin Georgetown. Embracing a romantic pastel palette of lavender, pink, and light blue, the floral arrangements took center stage at Diane and Michael’s wedding, weaving an enchanting tapestry of elegance and charm throughout the celebration.
Diane carried a beautiful bouquet in lush pastel hues. Her bridal bouquet featured light blue hybrid delphinium, light blue tweedia, white roses, ivory spray roses. white anemone, and white stock accented with ruscus foliage. To complement the bridesmaids’ dresses in shades of blue and purple, their bouquets featured lavender ‘Cool Water’ roses, light blue delphinium, white tweedia, and lavender stock accented with ruscus and salal foliages.
Diane and Michael’s ceremony unfolded beneath an elegant dark wood chuppah adorned with delicate blooms in hues of lavender and soft pink. The dark wood poles supported a canopy of natural white silk dupioni. The structure was further accented with an asymmetrical design of flowers in blues, purples, pinks, whites and greens. The design featured a garden mix of blue hydrangea, light blue and lavender hybrid delphinium, lavender stock, light pink spray roses and white lisianthus were finished with lush accents of salal and ruscus foliage. Dramatic touches of purple allium provided an expressive element to the design. Against the backdrop of the venue’s intimate courtyard setting, the floral design set a picturesque scene, symbolizing love and unity in every petal.
Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the reception with garden-style low centerpieces. These exquisite arrangements exuded a whimsical charm that perfectly complemented the venue’s classic ambiance. Brimming with light blue hydrangea, lavender stock, blue and lavender delphinium, lavender roses, and light pink spray rose accented with lemon leaf and ruscus foliage, the flowers were held in an elegant, clear compote. Elevated glass stands held floating candles provided romantic candlelight.
Providing a dramatic wow moment for the reception, flowers repurposed from the chuppah ringed the sweetheart table. Framing the Diane and Michael’s private seat at the reception was a bevy of delphinium, roses, allium and more in pastel hues, the perfect touch for the intimate reception.
